Day 5 - Calendar

What can a person do with a calendar from a previous year? Throw it away! I ended up with two of these in 2011, and this one was never opened.

Day 4 - Wallet

As we are still in the first week of the new year, many are making resolutions for 2012. One popular goal is to get out of debt, or at least curb spending and get it under control. In honor of this thought, today I am decluttering an old wallet.

Day 3 - Nail Polish Kit

I grabbed this French Manicure Set from the medicine cabinet to throw into the trash. It has gotten too old and gunky to use anymore.

Day 2 - Paper

The new year brings plans of organizing. This time of year stores offer sales on file cabinets, storage boxes, and other things for organizing your desks, drawers, and closets. Today I went through much of my paper clutter trying to tame the mess, shredded it, and dumped it into the recycle barrel.

This is only a small  part of what was shredded!

Two bags of shredded paper!

Day 1 - Workout Videos on VHS

Yes! I have decided to continue blogging my journey of decluttering my home for a second year. I may not post every single day in 2012, but the items will keep being booted. I hope that this has been encouraging. I'm keeping on!

New Year's Day brings on the resolutions to lose weight and get fit after all the holiday feasting. With that in mind, today I am getting rid of several workout videos on VHS from the 80s and 90s.

Happy 2012, everybody!
