Day 120 - T-Shirts

More clothes are going into the donation box today. This time it is a stack of t-shirts. 

Day 119 - Briefcases

I found four dusty briefcases in the garage that are going, going, gone! I think they used to make my son feel important. Now he holds an important job position, but doesn't use a briefcase. 

Day 118 - Paper Junk

I know I have not been very "wordy" lately in my last several posts. Some days I am just too busy or too preoccupied to write much. My blog is not so much a journal of words, but of keeping track of my progress. My focus is to get the job done, to rid my home of the clutter; and I think I have been succeeding, if I do say so myself. *Smile*


Today, I threw away a box of paper and junk from the garage. Trashed it! Oh, and the cardboard boxes went into the recycle barrel. 

Day 117 - Sweater

This week seems to be pretty much about getting rid of clothing... well, except for yesterday when I put the backpack into the donation box. This evening it is an over sized pullover sweater that no one in my house wears.

Day 116 - Blue Backpack

Today I am donating a blue backpack to the Salvation Army.

I am plodding along, getting rid of my clutter. Slowly but surely, it's getting done and it's making me happy!

Day 115 - Shirt

This evening I am putting a shirt into the donation box. Another unused item out of the house. I like that!

Today I am putting an old bath robe into the donation box.

Day 113 - Ball Ornament

On this day before Easter I choose to get rid of this giant Christmas ball ornament. Out of the house it goes!

Day 112 - Cassette Tapes

Cassette tapes. Does anyone listen to them anymore? I don't. I guess it's time to throw away the old ones that I have.

Day 111 - Framed Drawing

This framed drawing of a train with a Bible verse penned in calligraphy was in my sons' room when they were little boys. It's been hiding in the closet for several years and now is the time to let it go.

Day 110 - Straps

Do you sometimes get extra straps when you buy a purse or bag? I always keep them just in case I might want to use them. But do you know what? I NEVER use them. So I have decided to get rid of them. 

Day 109 - Box of Socks

At Christmas my daughter's boyfriend gave her a gift in this box of mismatched socks. He wrapped a little tiny box with a necklace in it and then hid it in the socks. I think there was a brick or two in there as well. What a great way to disguise a gift!

Today I am adding a Hand Punch to the donation box. What is a "hand punch?" you may be asking. Well, it's a type of hole punch made by Rollabind.

Some of these items were given away, some are being donated to the Salvation Army. I apologize for getting behind. My family and I lost our father so I took a trip out of state for a few days to be with my family and to attend his memorial service. Miss you, Dad!

Day 96 - Boxes

Today I got rid of two boxes. One was a work in progress, as my daughter was using it to make a replica of a computer, but it wasn't working like she had hoped and the project was abandoned. The other is just an empty box. Both are in the recycle barrel to be taken away tomorrow. 

Day 95 - Shower Curtain

I found this navy blue shower curtain stashed away in the linen closet. It's too dark for my bathroom, so I'm giving it the the Salvation Army.

Day 94 - Markers

These forgotten, dried out markers that I used in the mid-90s for rubber stamping are being trashed.

I enjoyed them while they lasted. They were lots of fun!

Day 93 - Antenna?

Today, antenna thingy? I'm not sure exactly what this is or where it came from, but I certainly do not use it or love it, so out it goes.

Since yesterday's post was an April Fool's joke, I'm putting up an extra post today to catch up. This is a VHS series for group study which is being "Freecycled".

Day 92 - Baking Powder

Oh, those "Use by" dates! I noticed there were two cans of baking powder in my kitchen cabinet that were outdated.

Day 91 - Daughter

Today I am getting rid of daughter #2... and her little cat, too! She's getting old, and she takes up a lot of space. She is not much use anymore. With her out of the way I can concentrate on getting rid of ALL her clutter. 


And that darn cat! It will be nice to be free of the smells of the kitty litter box. Maybe they can be of good use to someone else.
