Day 38 - More Sweaters

Back in my closet I found more sweaters for the new donation box. It's a shame, really. They are such nice sweaters. But I don't like them on me and never wear them. 

Farewell, knit sweaters! More room in my closet. Yeah! You know it!!!

Day 37 - Doorknobs, Locks, and a Latch

Well, it's Super Bowl Sunday and today I've got my idea of who's going to win all locked in. Which brings me to what I'm getting rid of today. A couple of locks with keys, two doorknobs, and a latch. These have been sitting in my garage for oooooh so long. Time to let go of them.

Donation box #1 is in line for pickup, while I find a new box for these goldilocks. :)


The best pickup line: "Salvation Army, Please send a truck to pick up my donation box." Yessss!!!! That makes me smile!

Day 36 - Sweaters

Today I'm losing three bulky sweaters that have a distinct '80s look to them. Sheesh! Can they be that old?

1, 2, 3... GO!!!

Whether or not they are actually THAT old, they are old enough to know better... to know better than to stick around in my closet. Haha! They were put into the donation box which is now officially FULL! Time to schedule a Salvation Army truck for pickup.

Day 35 - Jacket

Today it's a jacketa-jacketa-jacketa! Remember "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" with Danny Kaye? Ta-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa...

Stained - Wrong Size - Not Worn Anymore

I found this jacket in the hall closet. Once upon a time it was enjoyed. I love the feel of the 100% polyester micro-fibre fabric. Now the poor jacket is stained, too big, and never worn; just hangs around and does nothing. Haha! Time for the box. 

Day 34 - Baking Pan

This one's not so hot. Well, I mean this aluminum baking pan NEVER gets hot because I don't ever use it. I have had it for a very long time and I'm not even sure where it came from. Isn't it weird how things just show up like that? 

Well, since it is taking up space and not being useful, out it goes... to the donation box! 

Day 33 - Shirts

Shirts! A stack of shirts came out of the hall closet today and jumped right into the donation box. Oh yes, they knew it was time!

My boys are grown & on their own. The shirts were left.

Spring is coming early... Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his his shadow today. Happy Groundhog Day! 

Day 32 - More CDs

It's getting more difficult to get rid of things. Looks like I'm going to have to post my items when I'm alone because I am getting the "I want that!"s from family members. 


Well today.... I am getting rid of another batch of music CDs. 

I don't listen to these so I'm adding them to the fateful box that will soon take a trip to donation-land.
