These are the things that I've gotten rid of in the last ten days:
Day 6 - Friday January 6, 2012
A long over-shirt that I rarely ever wear
Day 7 - Saturday January 7, 2012
An American Girl Craft Kit my daughter grew out of a long time ago

Socks. Lots of socks!
Day 9 - Monday January 9, 2012
A couple of wooden roosters
Day 10 - Tuesday January 10, 2012
A crock pot and tea kettle that I returned to my son
Day 11 - Wednesday January 11, 2012
Planners from the past two years
Day 12 - Thursday January 12, 2012
Ski overalls. I can't for the life of me remember when these were last worn.

Hair pick

A couple of things that needed to be returned to the store but never were: a dress bag and a sink stopper

Day 362 - Measuring Spoons & Cups
Measuring spoons and cups are being donated today. Some of them are missing and I don't need them anyway. I have plenty of others.

Day 348 - Dish Drainer
Sometimes things simply lose their usefulness. That was the case with this dish drainer. Since it wasn't being used, it became warped and useless. Time to toss it!

Day 287 - Rooster Painting
I collect roosters for my kitchen, but I have become bored with this rooster painting. Shall I donate it to charity? I think I will.
Quote for today: "Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants." ~ Benjamin Franklin
I think the word "stuff" could be inserted into that sentence where the word "money" is and mean pretty close to the same thing. I know all my "stuff" hasn't made me happy... and the more of it I have the more UN-happy I become. It's clutter, it's in the way, and I'm getting rid of it!

Day 284 - Refrigerator Magnets
Today I have decided to clear off my cluttered refrigerator and get rid of several magnets. Please note that some of these were not actually on the refrigerator, but in a box on top of it.

Day 278 - Cloth Napkins
I have quite a few cloth napkins in different colors and fabrics. These particular napkins are faded and stained. I don't need that many anyway, so I'm paring down, and removing these from my home.

Day 260 - Schnapps
About a decade ago as my aunt and uncle were getting rid of things while preparing to move, my aunt gave me a bottle of Peach Schnapps from her kitchen. I brought it home and put it away in an upper cabinet. I don't think I'm ever going to drink it and so today it became my declutter item.

Day 218 - Refrigerator Magnets
Today's decluttered item is a set of refrigerator magnets. It is kind of cute, yes, but my refrigerator is too cluttered with things like these. It's time to minimalize and give it a more streamlined look.

Day 215 - Springform
The other part of this springform cake pan is missing and has been missing for quite some time. I kept thinking it would suddenly reappear, but not so. I have finally decided that without its mate, it shall meet its fate. Bye-bye, springform.

Day 207 - Lunch Bag
I got rid of a lunch bag back on Day 183, and today I have decided to purge my kitchen of another one. I simply cannot see any point in keeping something that I do not love and is not being used.
Quote for the day: "Keep only what you USE. Keep only what you LOVE. The rest is just useless clutter and it needs to go." ~ from A Thrifters Decluttering Guide at thriftcore.com .

Day 206 - Christmas Platter
This melamine Christmas platter has been sitting on top of my refrigerator for eons. I always wanted to give it to someone at Christmas piled high with cookies. A number of Christmases have come and gone and the platter is still here. But not for long. It's going into the donation box right now!

Day 198 - Ice Trays & Jars
Oh yes, I'm still at it, ridding my home of its clutter. Today I got rid of a couple of ice trays and some mason jars. I put them in one of the donation boxes.

Day 183 - Lunch Bag
Today I got rid of an old lunch bag. It still looks new in the picture, but it is actually pretty old and yucky. Bye, old bag!

Day 181 - Plastic Cutlery
This is the time of year for picnics and summer gatherings, especially with the 4th of July shortly upon us. So why am I getting rid of plastic cutlery? Well, because it has been in a buffet cabinet drawer that also had some air freshener stored in it. The plastic absorbed the smell of the air freshener. Want to taste that with every bite of baked beans and potato salad? I don't. So it's trashed.
