A few empty, unused boxes

A pair of socks

A top that isn't quite right for my body type

Day 21 - Saturday January 21, 2012
A bunch of pens that don't work

Day 22 - Sunday January 22, 2012
A Pepsi clock that no longer works

Day 23 - Monday January 23, 2012
Some old stale candy I found in a box

Day 307 - "How To" Books

I am releasing more books into the wild. Well, okay, I'm donating these two "how to" books to the Salvation Army.

Day 289 - More Books

It is not easy to decide which books to clear from my shelves. It comes down to the question "Will I ever read this (again)? I settled on these two, which are going into the donation box.

Day 286 - Children's Books

When one of my sons was little, he loved trains! He didn't think about anything else. He played with them, talked about them, drew pictures of them, dreamed about them, wished for them, and of course, he read books about them. Talk about a one "track" mind! Ha! He wanted to be a train conductor when he grew up. Well, he's all grown up now and he is a computer programmer.  That did take some "training", but other than that, he doesn't think about being a conductor anymore. So today, as sad as it is, I'm letting go of these children's books all about trains.

Day 285 - Hardbound Books

I love books. I like the feel of them, the smell of them, the look of them. I like the whole idea of them. Sorry, but the Kindle and the Nook will never replace real hardbound or paperback books as far as I'm concerned. (Should I say "in my book"?) But I have to admit that I don't read nearly as much as I would like. I know I will never read all the books I've collected, so I made the tough decision to cull a few from my shelves. Today I'm letting go of two old hardbound books by Catherine Marshall.

Day 245 - Keepsake Book

Today I'm donating a keepsake book I got for graduation. Yes, I did say I got it when I graduated and that wasn't yesterday. Haha! I don't remember who gave it to me, and I never read it. Well, it's eons overdue to give it away, so today is the day.

Day 243 - Notebooks

I cringe at the thought of discarding these notebooks full of wonderful study notes, but after holding onto them for years always thinking I would refer to them from time to time, do you think I ever have? You would be right if you said no. They are only taking up space. So with very much will and purpose, I have chosen to let go of them. I trashed the notes, and the notebooks are going into the donation box. Making  room for newness in my life!

Day 238 - Book

Today I'm letting go of a book. Although I read the first few chapters, I will probably not ever get around to reading it in its entirety. It's a good book, but my bookshelf holds other books I am more interested in.

Day 216 - Camera Manual

Today I added a camera manual to the donation box. I have no need for the manual since the camera is gone.

Day 176 - Books

I have more books than I can read, so today I put a couple of hardbound books into the donation box.
